local yokels: too many freaks, not enough circuses

With all of the factual information being posted and reported (by legitimate news sources), my only question is this: Who voted for this clown?

Conjecture aside, I’ve seen the video, which leads me to believe that the behavior was not only premeditated, but throughly enjoyed. No one approaches a total stranger in a public environment with a cell phone camera rolling if they don’t seek attention. Furthermore, no one boastfully posts that premeditated video to public spaces on social media if they don’t relish their actions.

Let’s forget for a moment the principle people involved in this particular incident and think about it from a logical perspective: One human being accosted another human being and mocked her because of the color of her skin.  

The only thing missing was his burning cross and hood.

Other than its complete lack of empathy, racism has always stuck me as odd, particularly as it relates to White Americans treatment of their Black peers. The sense of entitlement displayed by far too many Whites is disgusting, and shows a clear lack of knowledge of history.

Again, let’s break this down in as simple terms as possible: One race of human beings enslaved another race of human beings, bought & sold them like merchandise, worked them to death on plantations, and have never truly recognized them as legitimate members of society?

Sound about right?

What this Walmart clown and so many of his ilk will never understand is that they are wrong, plain & simple. None of them are superior to anyone - particularly if we’re taking IQ into account - and few of them will ever understand why. They will perpetuate the myths and lies told to them to future generations, continuing to pollute the world with their hate and hatred.

The most hypocritical element of this entire situation is the complete deletion of all his social media accounts, as well as his phony attempt to “apologize”, which rings even more hollow than his court ordered, less-than-believable letter to Dave Barbe. The clown was clearly forced into writing that and never believed a word.

I’ve seen all the deleted posts, where he uses the “N” word like he’s Suge Knight and calls African Americans archaic, predictable names because, let’s face it, he ain’t got a whole lot going on between the ears. If we’re being honest, it’s only a matter of time before he’s back on the ‘book and Instagram, spewing his lies and proving what a Neanderthal he really is.

The last thing I’ll say about the whole situation and the clown’s behavior is this: I wonder what his MAGA brothers & sisters think about him cowardly removing any traces of his affinity for racism, a cornerstone of MAGA culture? I mean, President Dump has never apologized to anyone. Ever. To the best of my knowledge, 34 has never deleted any of his social media.  

Must be something in the water in Speers; smells like patriotism but tastes like cowardice.

Trust me, this isn’t the last we’ve heard from the clown because he will find a way to become the victim. And he’ll have a throng of undereducated dupes (like Lyin’ Larry) who will back him to the very end. Unfortunately we’re going to have to keep dealing with Bozos like this for a while.

Next time, Mike, please wear your rainbow wig and red nose. Or your hood.  

Remember when John Fetterman was a badass? Me either. It seems like lifetimes ago. 

Well before he was proudly flying the Pride Flag outside of his Harrisburg office, Mayor John Fetterman led Braddock in a way that offered more than just hope. He helped many, many residents believe in themselves, believe that Braddock had a future despite its history of crime & poverty.

John used to be a champion of the people, fighting for those who couldn’t fight for themselves. He used to stand up for inequality and inequity, reassuring his constituents that he has their backs, always.

That John Fetterman is a distant memory, a fading image in a rearview mirror.

Now we have a cowardly weasel, one willing to acquiesce to MAGA without question. John has become a shell of his former self because of his willingness to bow to President Dump and the current Administration. It would be comical if it weren’t so sad.

While I completely understand the need for bi-partisan work and how important it is for politicians to reach across the aisle, what John Fetterman is doing isn’t that. He caves easily. He’s spineless and wishy washy. He’s become as much a part of the problem as any of Dump’s cronies.

In the few years he’s been taking up space in D.C., John Fetterman has done next to nothing of substance, failing to introduce any meaningful legislation or lead any of his colleagues in any way. It would seem that John is much more concerned with not rocking any boats than standing up for the voters who got him to Washington in the first place.

It would also seem that John is far more concerned about his personal image and building his brand than doing any actual work as a Senator. Honestly, how did he manage to find the time to write a memoir when there are so many more pressing issues that require his attention?

And then there’s the speeding ticket, the one he got near Cumberland, Maryland, because he still has that lead foot with which he was born. I guess if he had gotten charged with a crime in that situation, his asshole buddy Donald would have pardoned him anyway.

I remember when we brought John to the Monessen Civic Center more than ten years ago for a Q & A, back when he was running for Senate the first time. He was affable and shared several poignant stories about why it’s so important to fight for those who can’t.  

Where is that guy?

If you listen to those who have left his inner circle - those who were close to him for a long, long time - you’ll hear first-hand stories about John’s anger issues and how he has changed since arriving in our nation’s capital. He’s clearly not who they remember, which only shows that he’s not who any of us remember.

John, as someone who treats his mental illness on a daily basis, I commend you for trying to tackle yours. If you don’t mind my saying, you may need a little more intensive treatment, something that addresses both your narcissism and your lack of empathy for your constituents.  

Oh, and maybe see if someone can find the person you were all those years ago. Now, more than ever, America needs him. 

One of two things has to be true: Either Senator Bartolotta knows these two statements are lies or she doesn’t.  

If she’s unaware that tens of millions of Americans live happy, healthy lives without the benefits of fossil fuels, then she’s far too undereducated to serve her constituents. 

If, however, Barolotta willfully lies to those same constituents, then she should be removed from office immediately if not sooner.

Either way, the question remains: Who’s the bigger fool, the liar or the voting public that believes those lies and ignores them?

For decades conservatives and Republicans have weaved the lie that, because the sun goes down and the wind doesn’t always blow, renewable energy is a sham. It’s not. In fact, solar power is used by more municipalities across the country than I have time to mention in this piece. In nearly every part of the country I’ve traveled over the past 25 years - from northern Maine to Southern California - I have witnessed solar panels and wind turbines being used to power everything from traffic signals to municipalities themselves.

Because Senator Bartolotta is a friend of coal, she feels that she has to continue to disseminate lies in order to appeal to her voters, those gullible sheep who will clearly believe anything they read on a billboard. 

Her current Valley billboard, located right before the North Belle Vernon exit on eastbound I-70, has locations in three other spots along the Pennsylvania Turnpike en route to Harrisburg. Ironically, one of them is proudly displayed just before the solar panels that power Big Spring School District near Carlisle. 

If Senator Bartolotta takes the Carlisle exit and travels east on 11, she’ll run into the Cumberland Valley School District, which also runs exclusively on - wait for it - solar power!

Way back in 2018, when I first spotted her initial false billboard just after the Donegal exit on the Turnpike, I direct Tweeted Cammie and asked why she would put her face to such a blatant, bald-faced lie. Her reply? “I didn’t create the ad.”

No shit? In the first place, I wouldn’t take you for being creative enough to develop any sort of ad campaign. Secondly, if you’re slow enough to blame someone else for disseminating lies with your image on them, don’t come back at me at all.

My conclusion is that Senator Bartolotta knows full well that no one NEEDS fossil fuels to live. The BS, it turns out, is being generated by the sitting Senator from the 46th District and no one else. If you’re a Cammie fan, question your devotion because you’re backing a liar.
